Young Actor
Devon is a young actor from Vancouver, Canada, who got started in show
business in preschool when he was cast in a class play called The Marvelous
Toy. Devon played the toy! "We had to make our own costumes, and I
wore this cardboard box," recalls Devon. "And ever since then, I've been
into acting."
He continued to act in class plays and then he joined the Vancouver Youth
Theatre where he did many plays including How To Eat Like a Child and
Obsession. It was during one of their productions he was
discovered by a talent agent.
Devon's first television appearance was when he was hired to be the Canadian
national spokesman for Nerf® Toys. He also was cast in
the Canadian TV series Unsub when he was 11 years old. Next came another
series, Odyssey. And, at the age of 13, Devon was cast in the
series, Kidzone.
Devon's big break came when he won the role of the
ghost-boy-come-back-to-life in Casper.
Career in Movies
Devon's next film was Little Giants, which actually came
out in the theatres before Casper. Since then he has appeared
in feature films Now & Then and The Boys Club, TV
movies Robin Of Locksley and Night Of The Twisters.
During the summer of 1996 Devon joined Jonathan Taylor Thomas and
Scott Bairstow in the adventure Wild America.
